Laboratory

As of February 1, 2024, the NHCP Laboratory no longer accepts outside orders from network providers.
Lab orders from outside the hospital will need to be drawn at network laboratories.

​Services are available to patients with properly completed laboratory test requests ordered by DOD authorized providers in the Composite Health Care System (CHCS). If CHCS is not available, tests must be ordered on a properly completed laboratory request form (refer to specimen submission page). All requested laboratory tests will be entered and resulted using CHCS. Requests from civilian providers will be honored for Tricare Prime patients with requests for testing performed in our Laboratory.

-Phlebotomy Services
 
Semen analysis must be scheduled directly with the Laboratory. Semen analysis tests will be performed by appointment only during normal working hours Monday-Thursday.
Appointments are not required for Glucose Tolerance Testing (GTT). Patients should expect to be in the laboratory for a minimum of one-and-a half hours for a 1-Hour GTT and four hours for a 3-Hour GTT.
Pre-op patients who need to drop off specimens for testing before normal business hours should utilize the buzzer system located in the patient waiting area.
