Labor and Delivery
Labor Delivery at Camp Pendleton is a newly updated unit of 9 private rooms, a triage area, and surgical services component. It focuses on family-centered care from its centralized nursing station, large family-sized rooms, and room-in couplet care of mom and baby. In addition, the Antenatal testing unit for prenatal care testing and a Special Care Nursery is located on the unit with its own staff for infants needing a higher level care after birth. Mothers can be triaged through the L&D's own triage system at 20 weeks gestation and greater and are admitted through this system for their labor, birth, and immediate postpartum transition.
