Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is currently operating at Force Protection Condition (FPCON) Bravo+. Effective immediately, the Trusted Traveler Program is suspended until further notice. Department of War (DoW) ID cardholders may no longer vouch for vehicle occupants at installation entry points. All non-DoW affiliated visitors must be sponsored by an authorized DoW ID cardholder and obtain a pass from Pass and ID. The sponsor must be present during processing.

Kenneth Basford, outgoing commanding officer of EMF 150 Alpha, stand at attention for Anchors Aweigh at the conclusion of the EMF 150 Alpha change of command ceremony aboard NHCP on Feb. 20, 2026. Basford relinquished command to Smiley, his executive officer, during the time-honored ceremony. Basford is retiring from the Navy after 30 years of active service. “I am very humbled to have served as your commanding officer, and I know Captain Smiley will take the command to even greater accomplishments,” said Basford during his remarks.

EMF 150 Alpha changes command aboard MCB Camp Pendleton

On Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, Expeditionary Medical Facility 150 Alpha conducted a change of command ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

NMRTC Camp Pendleton graduates six from MSC IPP cohort

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Pendleton held a graduation ceremony for the 2026 Medical Service Corps Inservice Procurement Program cohort on Feb. 13, 2026, in the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton galley meeting room.

Outgoing Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Pendleton Commander Capt. Jenny Burkett (left) salutes incoming NMRTC Camp Pendleton Commander Capt. Guido Valdes presided over the event and served as the reviewing officer ensuring the formal transfer of authority and responsibility for the command. Burkett will transfer to the Office of the Deputy Navy Surgeon General in Falls Church, Va., and Damin comes to NMRTC Camp Pendleton from her previous position as the executive officer of NMRTC Guam and deputy director of Naval Hospital Guam. For 250 years, Navy Medicine – represented by more than 44,000 highly-trained military and civilian healthcare professionals – has delivered quality healthcare and enduring expeditionary medical support to the warfighter on, below, and above the sea, and ashore.
