Audiology
Indications For Audiology Services:
Complaints of hearing problems, sudden hearing loss, facial nerve weakness, noise exposure, dizziness or vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), diabetes, speech and language delay, syndrome associated with hearing loss, drug therapy (ototoxic), concussive syndrome, stroke, and family history of hearing loss.
Indications For Speech Pathology Services:
Speech Pathology offers comprehensive evaluation and intervention for stuttering, voice and swallowing problems. In addition, cognitive complaints such as memory problems, attention and problem solving skills related to concussion and mild traumatic brain injury are also appropriate for referral to Speech Pathology. Speech Pathology is currently providing services for active duty only.
Indications For Vestibular Rehabilitation Services:
Complaints of dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, gait abnormality, in coordination and motion intolerance are appropriate for referral to vestibular rehabilitation. Complaints of movement related imbalance, dizziness, and vertigo are particularly responsive to vestibular rehabilitation. Vestibular Therapy also provides comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation for dizziness and imbalance disorders related to concussion and mild traumatic brain injury.
