EMF 150-Alpha refines operational readiness at NEMWDC

CAMP PENDLETON, CALIFORNIA — Expeditionary Medical Facility 150 Alpha (EMF 150 Alpha) recently got a dose of realism, testing its ability to provide forward-deployed health service support to operational units across a full range of military operations in a series of real-world scenarios.

Elizabeth Smith, outgoing Commanding Officer, Expeditionary Medical Facility 150 Alpha, with the Legion of Merit medal in recognition of her exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service during her nearly two years in command of EMF 150 Alpha. Smith relinquished command to Capt. Kenneth Basford during a change of command ceremony held June 21, 2024, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
